How would you setup a Sharepoint site to cover multiple collections
-
2012年3月23日 16:24I have multiple collecitons where developers frequently need to find out what others are doing or recieve a notification of an event, say a tools release for part of a project. I was thinking that there should be a way for me to create a Sharepoint 2010 site that I could then query Workitems or other info in multiple projects. bringing it all together. How would I go about setting that up and how would I go about setting up the security for that? I dont think that security would allow me to make everyone even a reader in everyone elses projects so I would have to find a different way. Let me know if you have done this already and how you went about it. Thanks.

Hi Brthomas,
Thanks for your post.
As M.Radwan said, we can query work items in multiple team projects which under the same Collection. As far as I know, we can’t query the work items in multiple team projects which under different Collections by default, and there’s no way to create such a SharePoint site which cover multiple Collections to query work items.
