I have multiple collecitons where developers frequently need to find out what others are doing or recieve a notification of an event, say a tools release for part of a project. I was thinking that there should be a way for me to create a Sharepoint 2010 site that I could then query Workitems or other info in multiple projects. bringing it all together. How would I go about setting that up and how would I go about setting up the security for that? I dont think that security would allow me to make everyone even a reader in everyone elses projects so I would have to find a different way. Let me know if you have done this already and how you went about it. Thanks.

I think you can query work items in multiple projects as the following:

    TFS Query

    Hi Brthomas,

    Thanks for your post.

As M.Radwan said, we can query work items in multiple team projects which under the same Collection. As far as I know, we can’t query the work items in multiple team projects which under different Collections by default, and there’s no way to create such a SharePoint site which cover multiple Collections to query work items.
