(saw link when I posted but got error when accessing them... notably http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepoint2010setup/thread/d47a34b2-1405-47e9-9a8e-f9cebdc28cff)

I m planning a backup plan for a sharepoint farm.

Content will grow upper than 100 GB and require a SQL Backup.

So, i had a plan to save the farm once, and periodically shared service.

But this isn't the most satisfactory and i should prefer a complet farm backup where I excluded a site collection or web application (so where i can dont save WSS_Content).

Looking for a way about it, I saw nothing and come to you asking if someone may have a solution for me.

    Hi Dwiq,

For this issue, you can back up the farm from UI and exclude the web application which you don’t want to back up. Go to Central Administrator->Backup and Restore-> Perform a Backup, then under select component to back up, uncheck the web application to exclude from back up. Please check it.

    Best Regards.

It's ok. Thanks for the tip.

But I also need to script it ! So it's difficult to script an autosave through UI. ^^'
