I'm getting a 'PDH failure on counter \ServerName\??? with error Unknown error (0xc0000bc0)' where ??? is

SharePoint Publishing Cache\\Total objectsI'm not running the Sandbox nor have we turned on blob caching. Is the only way to get rid of these messages to enable these features?

Hi,
Firstly, check the value of Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\PerfProc\Performance
I expect you will find there you will have a value titled “ProcessNameFormat” with the value of 2. Please change this value to 1 and let me know whether this has helped you in any way.
Secondly, check if you can see this performance counter by using this link.

Hi Rock Wang, I am having the same issue. I looked for ProcessNameFormat and there wasn't one. Should I add it?

This blog post seems like it is closer to the mark:
This seems to be occurring because the certain services are turned off, but there are counters running for them.
Proposed solution: Turn down logging level of affected services. Or just ignore the errors.
