How to enable Microsoft Windows SDK for Windows 7 and .NET Framework 4 (7.1) for MSVS 2010?

    Question

  • I've installed Windows SDK 7.1 (x64) and want to run tools from it under pre/post build events. But, the $(FrameworkSDKDir) variable points to a previously installed 7.0A SDK and tools from it (SGen, for example) does not worked with .NET 4.0 binaries.

Windows SDK Configuration Tool does not worked with MSVS 2010. When I start it as

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v7.1\Setup>WindowsSdkVer.exe -version:v7.1

    I see a message

The Windows SDK Configuration Tool has successfully set Windows SDK version v7.1 as the current version for Visual Studio 2008.
    Press return key to exit....

And, under MSVS 2010 new tools are not used.

How can I register a Windows SDK 7.1 for MSVS 2010?
