Fidelity Test

    Question

  • Hi There,

I need some help. I am trying to do this test and would appreciate some guidance. Notice that I need another computer. So I installed the client on it too and added it to my pool. Is this correct as when I select this machine I get an error unable to schedule.

    Kind Regards,

    Mao

  • Hi,

It appear that you do not have any concept of what is a fidelity test, below link is a brief explanation of what is the test about and how to to go about running it in DTM or HCK.

  • Hi,

The sencondary computer should be put in the same pool with your test client and selected as the AP host

    Thanks,

  • Hi There,

Thanks, do I install the secondary computer as a Arm Client or just client? Additionally must the second computer all have Windows 8 64 bit or can it have 7 with 32bit?

I'm using Win8 Pro 64 and my other machine Win7pro 32. At the 'Unable to Schedule message it states that I must check the event viewer.

In the event viewer I get an error 'Latest Resource Configuration is null, cannot build system properties at MicroSoft.Windows.Kits.Hardware.ObjectMOodule.DBConnection.WttMachine.GetPropertyHash..

    Regards,

    Mao

        Hi,

If you are testing a device with a physical endpints than you'll require a AP System 2 and a APHost (2ns system), the APhost is the AP controller and can be in Win7 x86. If the device do not have any physical end pint than the 2nd system can be in any OS.

For both cases you will need to install the client into the 2nd system and move it to the same "project pool" as the DUT or SUT, and select it as APHost when you schedule the Fideity test.

         have fun

  • Hi,

Okay, i moved my Win7 to my pool and change it to ready. I started my test and select AP and my win7 pc. The test is now scheduled and ran. After I plugged in the jacks into the different ports, it failed with an error AP2007 nor APWIN were found. Do I need to load this AP2700 and APWIN on my pc that i'm doing the test on or must i load it on the Win7 pc?

  •    Hi,

AP stands for Audio Precision and it's the name of the company that produces audio testing equiptment, you will need to have one of this AP27xx to run the fidelity test.

  • Hi,

To run the fidelity test, you need the additional device - Audio Precision

Then you need to have the AP driver and utility installed on your AP host

    http://www.ap.com/download/2700

For your AP host (win7 pc): connect to the audio precision and execute the control software

For your test machine(win8 pro): Plug in the jacks into audio precison

    Cheers
