Volume Mixer-like control in a Windows Desktop App

    Question

  • I would like to add audio Volume Mixer-like controls to my Windows Forms app (C# or C++.)  I want the user to be able to control the audio volume of any process currently running that plays or potentially plays audio (the same way the Volume Mixer does it in Window 7 and 8).  I know how to get the Process class for each running process, but I don't know how to find and set it's audio info.  I know how to use the WinMM.dll and it's associated data structures in my app.  I'm using VS 2012 Premium.  Can anyone help me get this hooked up?  Thanks.
