Why has my subscription to 3-Month Free Trial of Windows Azure service been cancelled?

    질문

  • I registered the windows azure service 5 days ago, and subscribed to the 3-Month Free Trial. But today, I received a E-mail says that my service has been cancelled, without any reason. Does anyone know why?

The content of the E-mail is as follows:

    Dear XXX,

This mail is confirmation that your subscription to 3-Month Free Trial has been cancelled on Wednesday, March 21, 2012.

I E-mailed Microsoft and I am waiting for the reply.

I'm Chinese, but Windows Azure Service is not available in mainland China. So I subscribed the service with a Chinese Windows Live ID, MasterCard and an American address and American phone number of one of my friends in America. Is it allowed to do this? Or is this the reason why my service was cancelled?

  • has the subscription actually been cancelled, or was that email incorrectly sent out?

the best advice I can offer you is to log a support call with the Azure support team who are excellent at resolving these sorts of issues.

  • Hi,

A potential reason is because 90 day free trial has resources limited, refer to http://www.windowsazure.com/en-us/offers/ms-azr-0018p.

"If you use more in a month than the above amounts, you will exceed your $0.00 Spending Limit and your service will be disabled for that month."

But i still suggest you contact MS support to confirm that on https://support.microsoft.com/oas/default.aspx?prid=14234&st=1&wfxredirect=1&sd=gn.

    Hope it  can help you.

  • The subscription has actually been cancelled. I sent a E-mail to Microsoft and I'm waiting for the reply.

  • It was very likely cancelled because of a bug in Azure SDK 1.6. The root cause is that the SDK generates a large number of storage transactions, causing your included amounts to run out quickly. We have upped the number of included transactions for affected users, so even though this bug exists in the SDK, it should not affect you. Do this:

    1) Log into account.windowsazure.com

    2) Click' upgrade' on your free trial subscription to removeyour spending limit and convert to a pay-as-you-go subscription.

    3) Your subscription should be re-enabled. Note that you will be charged for actual usage now.
