I have deployed a worker role instance with Windows Azure Connect plugin activated.
The activation token has been correctly set.
The deployed worker role instance however is not able to connect through the Windows Azure Connect. Therefore I do not even see the instance in the Virtual Network section on the old portal.
I remoted to the worker role instance and ran the diagnostics:
0 : Internet connectivity : 0 : Success
1 : Remote Access Manager service check : 0 : Success
2 : IKE and AuthIP IPsec Keying Modules service check : 0 : Success
3 : IPv6 enabled : 0 : Success
4 : IPsec certificate check : -2147024894 : No IPsec certificate was found. Please ensure that this machine is configured for connectivity.
5 : RAS credentials check : -2146885628 : No valid certificate was found that could be used to connect to RAS server. Please ensure machine has been activated
Why doesn't it find the certificate for IPSec? Does it use some preconfigured certificate or should I create one myself?
There was a brief issue caused by a Windows Azure service that Azure Connect depends on, it impacted a small number of customers. We fixed issue a few days ago. Sorry about the inconvenience, and thank for using Connect!
