  • Hi Atul,
Please refer www.zachowens.net for instructions on how to connect to SQL Azure using SSMS. You should also try connecting using SQLCMD and check if the same issue reproduces. Sample connection strings are available in the SQL Azure portal. If you still experience connectivity issue, please post your connecting string (of course masking the servername and password).

    Thanks,
    Abi

Please ensure port no 1433 is opened on Company Firewall so that Azure database can be connected.
    Hope this will help you!

  • Hi Atul,

Try connecting to the database from outside company's network.
This will give you the hint what is the problem in connecting to the database from within company network.

    Thanks, Sonia
