How to Cancel / Delete an 'Introductory Offer ' Windows Azure Account.

    Question

  • Hello,

I had subscribed to a Windows Azure Introductory offer account just to have hands on the same.

I deleted all my Windows Azure Service /SQL Azure.

The only part which is seen active is :

Project Name Account Owner Service Administrator Status
    ***** ******** ***** Enabled

I am billed as below and compute hours are continue to be getting calculated

NameSort Type Region Resource Consumed Included Billable Rate Amount
    Windows Azure Compute Compute Hours 68.000000 25.000000 43.000000 0.120000 USD ***

I want to know how can I stop this computing myhours and turn the account as 'Inactive'

I have already raised a request with Customer support inorder to cancel the account and waiting response for the same. But my main concern is of me getting billed even as I am typing now.

Request you to please assist me.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Hemant A.

  • Hi Hemant,

In order to stop the meter ticking, just delete your deployment (don't leave it suspended, make sure it is DELETED).

    Hope this helps.
