Bing (News) Search API - Latitude and Longitude parameters don't seem to have an effect?

    Question

  • When performing a news search using the API, I get the same results regardless of the latitude and longitude entered (the results appear to be based on my actual location).

What is the purpose of the latitude and longitude parameters? Do they have any effect?

e.g. These both get the same results. One lat/lon is Arkansas US, the other is Australia.

  • Hi,

I try to reproduce this issue in my side, all the return data are the same expect ID, this property may be was a new feature by design.

I also connect with exporter, below was the detail information.

The results will be the same because the longitude and latitude parameters have no effect on the results. This is expected behavior and there is no way at this time to use longitude and latitude to filter the results.

    Best Regards
