can metro app use a chain of win32 dll?

    Question

  • when metro app calls a win32 dll, it uses "LoadPackagedLibrary()". what if my win32 dll uses another win32 dll just like desktop dynamic dll, it seems working fine.

is this a supported usage though? assuming all the dlls use metro APIs only.

Because I'm testing with the preview, not sure if anything will change in the future.

    Thanks,

  • So long as the DLLs use only Metro profile you should be fine.  Assuming we're talking custom DLLs, they will need to be included with the package in order to be found.  The Windows App Cert Kit will run its tests on the deployed app so it should be accurate.

  • Yes, the dll is packaged in the metro app. This is good news.

    Thank you Rob.
