Windows 8 metro app WinRT and built-in text to speech api

  • Are there any built-in text to speech API to use in C# and XAML metro application. I don't want to use over the internet services, something that can used offline. thanks

  • Sorry, but there isn't a built-in text-to-speech API. Your options are to find a 3rd party library or to use an internet service such as Bing Translator.

  • Hi,

    like Rob said, there is no built-in text-to-speech. One you could use is the one from the Microsoft Translator Service. For that an internet connection is required.
