  • I have created a file with employee information. My process uses certain information from that file to determine seniority in a particular department. What input is necessary for this process to complete its work? Please describe!

  • Not sure I understand the question. You need help in reading the file? What type of file is it? Comma delimited? Fixed length? XML?

    That, in itself, is a risky proposition.  We hear, all too often, about corporations and even government departments "misplacing" such files, endangering the electronic identities of the individuals concerned.

    From what did you create this file?  Whatever process you want to build might be better served going back to the original data source.

    "What input is necessary for this process to complete its work?"

    Depends entirely on the type of file, the data contained within it, who should or should not have access to that data (and that's a major headache) and what you want to do with it.

    Give us some more detail to work with and we'll see what we can come up with ...
