I was using a stand alone trial version of Lightswitch 2011 and then moved on to VS 2011 beta, but when I wanted to see the Time tracker application I found my LS 2011 trial period was over. Then I changed my system date and voila, I could use it again. Should it remain expired even if I change my system date? imo
Change one thing and that changes everything :-)

It will remain expire if you change the system date also. As I know the trial period is for 30 days only. If you register the product i think you may extend to 90 days. But you have to activate it if you are going to continue in future.

Yes, sometimes setting the system date back to a date prior to the expiration dat will allow expired software to function, but it means having the inconvenience of having the system date not be right for everything else.
So this would only be applicable for a "temporay" solution.
As I explained in a different post (please try to not make duplicate posts about the same thing), & Babloo has repeated above, if you haven't registered your trial, doing so will give you an additional 60 days (a total of 90 days).
So summing up, setting the system date back to a previous date is a TEMPORARY solution, that should not be abused. You should be able to register your trial & unlock an additional 60 days.
