TF900547: The directory containing the assemblies for the Visual Studio Test Runner is not valid ''.

    Question

  • Hi,

recently we upgraded to TFS2013 from TFS2012. But still we use the same VS2012 configured builds.

But after migration , we are getting the following error in the build execution.

TF900547: The directory containing the assemblies for the Visual Studio Test Runner is not valid ''.

Is it mandatory to install VS2013 in the Build server to fix this issue ? or is there any other solution we can do without upgrading to VS2013.

Present environment  VS2012 and TFS2012 Build process templates are used to configure the builds.

  • Hi,

    Thanks for your post.

Maybe you can try to find the default Run MSTest for Test Assemblies activity and set it ToolPath property value to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0\Common7\IDE", please refer to the follow screenshots.
