First, I know this probably isn't the correct forum for this question but there is no "general" area for Visual Studio so a "setup" issue may be about as close as there is for this.
Every time I try to compile a solution on my laptop (Windows 7 Pro, Visual Studio 2010 premium) when I am not connected to our domain VS freezes up for aproximately 5 minutes then continues as normal. If I'm connected to the domain, either directly
or through our VPN, compiles have no issues. I've changed all paths in my VS options (import/export settings and project and template defaults) to a local path with no effect. We use Team Foundation Server 2008 but this freeze occurs even when
I specifically disconnect from TFS prior to compile. I suspect that VS is still attempting to contact our TFS server but I have no way of knowing for sure. Has anyone encountered this behavior before or does anyone have any idea where I might search
for answers? Right now VS is functionally useless when I have my laptop off the network.
