Error :The data is invalid 0x8007000d

  • Hi, I am trying to play video file through my app. Its says the data is invalid 0x8007000d while trying to play the video file. i am trying to play flv and mp4 . is there any codec missing, what codec is required to play this file, where do I get that?

    I am getting Cannot play back the file. The format is not supported. (Error=80040265) while playing mp4 files.

     

     

    Please suggest me.

  • You might want to look into the libavcodec, its a good codec and its open-source.
    An other option is to use Microsoft Windows Media Encoder.

    I installed Windows Media Encoder, but still not able to play FLV or MP4, could you please share me with the link where do I find the codec?

    the actual codec can be found in the ffmpeg or any other open-source program that uses that codec.

    I have downloaded Download gzip tarball   . How do I use this, isn't there any setup file for the codec, like we have in K-Lite codec?

    I think we are misunderstanding each other a bit here.

    What I'm suggesting is using the libavcodec in your project as a reference.
    and speaking to the .dll using a C# code.

    By the way, what kind of prog are you using in your application to try and play those files?

    Its a media player that will play audio/video files.
