  • Create a new SetupAndDeployment Project, add your application Project to this new "SetupAndDeployment". Add the Output Folder to the "SetupAndDeployment" and then buid.

  • Hi Chandran ,

    Welcomes you to MSDN forums..

    1. Add a new install project to your solution.
    2. Add targets from all projects you want to be installed.
    3. Configure pre-requirements and choose "Check for .NET 3.5 and SQL Express" option. Choose the location from where missing components must be installed.
    4. Configure your installer settings - company name, version, copyright, etc.
    5. Build and go!

Check the follwing links and it have detailed step by step explanantion with screenshots.

  • Please note that the Setup project is no longer available or supported in VS 2012.  Setup projects will not load in VS2012 even if created in order versions of VS.

In order to create a setup program you will need to use a third-party solution.  VS2012 provides a link to install the free version of InstallShield.  Alternative solutions include NSIS and WiX.
