Invisible PopUp

    Question

  • Hi All. How do you create an invisible popup? I tried the following but am still able to see the webform.

    Response.Write("<script language = Javascript>var win=window.open('InvisiblePopUp.aspx', '','toolbar=no,location=no-directories=no,status=no,menubar=no,scrollbars=no,resizable=no,width=0,height=0');</script>");

    I've also tried the following and variations of it in the popup.

    this.Page.Form.Visible = false;

    Thanks!

  • If you are trying to hide the contents of the popup then put the contents in a component that can be hidden like a div or a server-side panel. For a div, use CSS to set visibility to Hidden, or on a panel set visible to false. If you are trying to hide the entire browser window of the popup, set it's screen location to a coordinate off of the users screen. In your javascript's window.open call, add the "left" and "top" parameters and set them to a negative value that places the window above and to the left of the visible screen.
