Error Downloading VS 2010 Ultimate

    Question

  • Hi,

When I start downloading VS2010 Ultimate it loads for some time then I press Next when enabled and I select I have read and accept the license terms.

and when I press Next a message box popup

"you have entered an invalid product key for this product. The 25-character product key may be found in the media case or obtained online at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=123687"

There is no place to write the product key!!

How do I solve this problem

    Thanks

  • Hi Dan,

    Thank you for your post.

    Some clarification with you:
Where did you download VS2010 installer?

Alex has posted the place that we can change the product key during VS2010 installation. If you have the product key, you can change it manually to have a try.

If you have the product key of VS2010 Ultimate, you also can download the installer of VS2010 Ultimate trial edition from the following official website:
    http://www.microsoft.com/visualstudio/en-us/download
(This link includes both web installer and ISO installer)

Then manually upgrade from Visual Studio Trial Edition.

For more information on how to upgrade from Visual Studio Trial Edition, please see: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc442563.aspx

Hope this helps! If you have any concern, please feel free to let me know.
