  • Hi CrystalNeikirk,

    Welcome to the MSDN Forum.

    First, there are several things I would like to  clarify with you:

    ·         What is your OS version?

    ·         Do you install .NET Framework 3.5 through web installer?

    If you are using web installer to install .NET Framework 3.5, you can try the standalone installer. You can download it from below link: http://download.microsoft.com/download/6/0/f/60fc5854-3cb8-4892-b6db-bd4f42510f28/dotnetfx35.exe

    You can follow these install tips and install .NET Framework again:

    -          Turn off your anti-virus/antispyware software during installation;

    -          Install the latest Windows updates from the Windows Update site: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com;

    -          Complete or dismiss Windows Update before installation. (and don't forget to turn it on later).

    -          Run the setup with Administrator privilege (right-click the install -> Run as administrator)

    If the installation fails, you can collect the setup log file and analyze them.

    You can follow below steps to collect log files:

    1.       Try to clean your "%temp%" folder (Start Menu >> Run >> Type "%temp%).

    2.       Install .NET Framework again.

    3.       Collect the logs from "%temp%" folder with the Collect tool.

    Collect tool: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=e0da314f-6216-4a18-bc6b-7d29cf83af20&displaylang=en

    4.       Send the vslogs.cab file to me (E-mail: v-anwu@microsoft.com).

    Note: Please attach the link of this post in the mail.

    I hope this will helps.

    Best Regards,
