Answers

  • Hi Tshanti,

    Thank you for your post.

Here are the steps that I did to install Visual Studio 2010 Professional Trial Edition on my machine:

    - Download these files from official website:

    - Double click VS2010ProTrial_4PartsTotal.part1.exe file and get:

    - After the process has been completed, I navigate to the path: C:\Users\v-yicche\Downloads and find VS2010ProTrial.iso file.

    - Use WinZip tool to extract the ISO image to local computer like C:\VS2010ProTrial

    - Open the folder C:\VS2010ProTrial and run setup.exe.

Please check these steps one by one. The steps to install Visual Studio Ultimate Trial would be similar.

If the problem still exists, could you please try to use other web browser or some download manager software to download the installer files again? Then follow these steps one by one again.

Hope this helps! If you have any concern, please feel free to let me know.

    Best regards,
    Yichun Chen

  • Hi Tariq,

If Chen suggestion doesn't work, you can try with download the single ISO file.

  • Hi Yichun,

Reviewing doanloaded files, i fgured that first file was downloaded with different name, which caused all that problem, all what i did is renaming the first file with exact name as mentioned in the link, so i could create the ISO image for Ultimate.

Thank you very much for help and follow up.

    Regards,

    Taris Shanti

please note that Visual Studio 2010 Professional Trial Edition were successfully installed using steps mentioned in your reply, to be more specific about my problem; i am trying to install VS2010 Ultimate, when i "Double click VS2010UltimTrial_4PartsTotal.exe file", it requires to locate a file that i didn't download since it's not listed in the link i mentioned in my post.

  • Hi all,

After extracting four file of VS ultimate into one large file i.e "VS2010UltimTrial".

I was not able to extract file from "VS2010UltimTrial" using normal WinRAR.

Then I used "Megic ISO" to extract all the files from "VS2010UltimTrial".

    Good luck to every one...

  • Dear friends,

I need your help for the installation of visual studio 2010. Kindly go thru my below requirement and let me know your comments,

     - We have 6 people who wants to install the VS 2010. Our plan is, we want to download the version in one system and it should be shared to other users via pen drive to avoid downloading 2 GB in every PC

     - When I tried to download the files from the below link,
        http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=06a32b1c-80e9-41df-ba0c-79d56cb823f7&displaylang=en

the first file that is 'VS2010UltimTrial_4PartsTotal.part1.exe' which is a 700 MB file. It is download 512 bytes exe file and when double click it, a popup came and disappeared automatically.

I want a link to download 2 GB file and wants to share it with my team.

    Thanks in advance

    Hari
