  • Hi - you could try this HelloWorld:

http://seleniumhq.org/docs/03_webdriver.html#getting-started-with-webdriver (scroll to the C# console app)

By the way are you wanting to use Grid to run browsers on different machines? I am trying to do a similar excercise at work. I have been trying with Selenium RC/Grid and hit problems.

  • I've been unable to get that Selenium HQ example working.  The driver looses the window handle after the driver.Navigate() call and therefore the next FindElement(...) call throws an exception.

Still looking for useful webdriver tutorials.

  • John Sonmez' "Automated Web Testing with Selenium" course on pluralsight.com

It's all in visual studio c# and goes from basics to advanced features in clear and easy-to-follow steps.

    Good luck

  • Yes, I have just done that course myself. Of course, you do need to have a Pluralsight subscription to do it!

  • I found Mr. Salunke's book amateur, poorly written, and quite limited. It's a skimpy 96 pages of large font for $27. More importantly, it's badly written and hard to follow. Give this book  a pass.
