Error when building data warehouse

    Question

  • Hello,

I cannot get the data warehouse to complete successfully while doing the migration from TFS single server migration. I have restored all the database files from the old functioning system and also restored the STS_Content_TFS database and under WSS  CentralAdmin I changed the content database to STS_Content_TFS and deleted the WSS_Content DB.

I am going from server 2003 R2 to server 2008, both running TFS 2008. I have updated WSS to 3.0 sp1 on the server I am retiring.

    The error I get is...

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Team Foundation Server\Tools>setup

  • I'm assuming you've solved this by now, but the issue you have it that the mturl parameter should be pointing to the TFS Services.  Use -mturl http://B25-TFS2:8080 instead and it should be OK.
