  • MonoDevelop

Goods: It’s free, the compiled exe doesn’t rely on .net and is multi-platform

Bads: No UI Form Editor yet; some things from .net like Linq may not be included.

    Give it a try : http://monodevelop.com/

  • Hi hari,

    Thanks for your post.

I will suggest you to use Visual Studio which is suit both small and big size project. It works well for me. And you also can download the different versions Visual Studio to have a look: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/vstudio/bb984878.aspx

There are a thousand Hamlets in a thousand people's eyes. So I think this thread is more suitable to be a discussion thread. I will change the type of this thread to discussion.

Sorry for any inconvenience and have a nice day.

  • If it is a standalone application i would suggest you to use vb.net and access database.

  • Hari,

Do you this also ask this in a restaurant?

"What is the best restaurant in town?

The answer is then obvious, it is the same here. This forum is for Micrsoft Visual Studio Development tools.
