Error Message for .Net Framework

    Question

  • Hi. I'm not sure if I'm in the right area or not but in the last 2 days I keep getting the following error message whenever I start my computer. By the way, I'm just a home user not a developer or anything like that but I would like to find a solution to this problem. I'm running Windows 7. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Here is the error message:

    Microsoft .Net Framework

     Unhandled exception has occured in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately. Cannot anchor balloon at position "{X=1660, Y=1030}." The point is not contained within the visible bounds of any screen. Parameter name: point. Actual value was {X=1660, Y=1030}.

    See the end of this message for details on invoking

    just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

    ************** JIT Debugging **************

    To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

    application or computer (machine.config) must have the

    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.

    The application must also be compiled with debugging

    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>

        <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />

    </configuration>

    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception

    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer

    rather than be handled by this dialog box.

  • The error messgae you see is coming from a program on your computer that automatically starts each time you boot up.

    The error is in the program and not in the .NET Framework itself.

    To isolate the culprit program, you will need to identify the "autorun" programs in your system. To do so, use this:

    1.Press Start > Run

    2.Type msconfig and press enter, it will open System Configuration utility.

    3.Open Startup tab

    4. You can now deselect the Autostart programs one at a time (rebooting after each deselection) until you no longer see the error message. The last deselected program is the culprit.

    5. Once you have identified the program that throws the error, contact the publisher of that program for technical support.

  • Hi DFM48,

    Thank you for your post.

    Have you tried MVP’s suggestions? I also recommend you boot to Windows SafeMode to check if the error still occurs.

    If you have any other concerns, please feel free to let me know.

    Best Regards,
