VS2010: Error when creating Excel 2010 Template or Excel 2010 Workbook

    Question

  • Hi there!

When I try to create Excel 2010 Template or Workbook, VS2010 show the following error message:

Project cannot be created because the "Excel Visual Studio Design-Time Adaptor Add-In" is not working correctly. Excel might have disabled the add-in or made it inactive, or all add-ins might be disabled in your Trust Center settings. Check the add-in status in Excel Options. If the add-in is active and enabled, reinstall or repair  Visual Studio Tools for Office.

Add-ins are enable in my Excel 2010. I've already repaired VS and Office and nothing changes.

Any suggestion to fix this bug?

    Best regards,

    Ciro

  • Additional information:

In another computer (VS2008 with Excel 2007), Excel's Add-In COM list shows the following Add-Ins available:

    - Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Tools for Office Design-Time Adaptor for Excel 2003

    - Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Tools for Office Design-Time Adaptor for Excel 2007

In my development computer (VS2010 with Excel 2010) I don't see anything like the add-in above.

    Any suggestion?

    Best regards,

    Ciro

  • Before I install Office 2010, I uninstalled Office 2007. Maybe the uninstaller let some trash in Windows registry, isn't it?

Is there a way to clean Windows Registry after uninstall Office 2007?

    best regards,

    Ciro
