Connecting C# to mysql database in visual studio 2012. problem in system.data.dll file

  • I'm Building a simple database windows 8 app using c# in visual studio 2012 express . It was asked me to add reference system.data.dll so i did, Then rest of things works good when i run the program i got an error states that system.data.common.Dbconnection  could not be referenced

    The error statement is :

    The base class or interface 'System.ComponentModel.Component' in assembly 'System, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' referenced by type 'System.Data.Common.DbConnection' could not be resolved c:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\System.Data.dll

    so any can guide me to solve this error  I'm getting this error invisual studio 2012 . 

    i tried quite long back in visual studio 2010 and it worked . problem in visual studio  2012

    Actually you case is not related to this forum so I need more details to redirect you.

    Can you share your specific project type please? Win 8 app cannot connect to database directly.

    Could you please tell me how to connect to database using win8 app. It is necessary for me, so please explain me clearly which database is good, how to connect and how to use it efficiently  

    Project type is: windows store app
