File or Directory is corrupted and unreadable...

  • Hi

    In my application(c#.net 2003 windows Application) ,i need to delete some file as well as folder also...but it couldn't be deleted..It throw an exception as follows

    File or Directory is corrupted and unreadable...

    How to delete that kind of File or Folder in programmatically?

    Could you any one help me to solve this pbm?

  • Depends on what directory, much content in many folders especially in W7 is impossible to change or to delete.

  • Hi,

    these files or folder lock by the other resources and OS managing these stuff first you have to release the resources then you can able to delete these files or folder.

  • Try to fix the folder/file with windows / norton / mcafee disk utilities

    After that restart the machine and delete it.
