Visual Web Developer split view

    Question

  • Recently I have learned that in visual web developer 2010 I can make split view vertical while doing HTML editing..

This split view (vertical) is very useful for me taking advantage of my wide screen..

    http://weblogs.asp.net/scottgu/archive/2007/07/30/enabling-vertical-split-view-in-vs-2008.aspx

But now I wanted more.. I have a new LCD and wanted to take advantage of Dual Screen..

Is it possible to detach the (design view) so that i can put it on my other screen and do the editing on the other screen?

  • Hi NotMii,

    Thanks for the post.

It's unlikely to detach the design view from source view.

As a workaround, if you use Win7, could you please Press "WinKey(in the middle of "Ctrl & Alt") + P", and change to the extend monitor mode to widen your vs IDE across 2 monitors.

If I misunderstand your issue, be free to let me know.

    Best Regards,
