    Question

  • Hi

From what I understand, the default settings in a new Wcf service are wsHttpBinding + windows security in the message level using spnego protocol. Is this true?

Is there another platform (e.g. .net 2, Axis, etc.) that can interoperate with this Wcf configuration, or is it that by using this service configuration I force all my clients to use Wcf? If there is no interop, I assume that the problem is the spnego, so can anyone please explain to me what is exactly spnego and what is its connection to known ws-* standards?

    Thanks,
    Yaron

  • Hi,

Here is link to the MSDN document that discusses interoperability and integration with WCF.

  • Thanks, this is a very rich source for information.

However it does not directly relate to the negotiation protocol I asked about. I'm still not sure where spnego combines with the ws-* model, and if it is interoperable in some cases (e.g. client support kerberos).

    Thanks,
