Error installing VS2012 on Hotfix for Windows (KB2664825).

    Question

  • How do I fix this problem so that I can install VS2012?

    My machine is running Windows 7 SP 1.

    Error message:

    Hotfix for Windows (KB2664825) The revocation process could not continue - the certificate(s) could not be checked.

    From your vslogs.cab file ,I find the reason that " Installation failed with error code: (0x800B010B), Generic trust failure.     Thanks for your posting.

    From your description, I know that you encounter an error when you install VS2012 .Based on my experience, I think the issue may be related to the installation package, Please check his installation media to see if it is corrupted.

    In addition, if you got errors when you install VS, use  http://aka.ms/vscollect to gather the installation logs. Then upload the vslogs.cab file in %temp% folder to https://skydrive.live.com and post back the link.

  • The installation is being done using 2012 premium web installer through the MSDN account.
