Word Object Model - additional parameters

    Question

  •

    Hello,

I was looking for an answer but couldn't find any for hours..

Is there any way to attach some additional data with a chosen document object?

For example I have 3 tables in a document and I need to distinguish between them so I would like to assign an additional prerty for the Word.Row object so that I could read it in future?

I know there are customdocuemnt properties but they are global and I need to assign them to specific objects.

I would be greatful for any help!

    Thanks in advacne,

    Blaze

  • No, the Word object model provides no way to directly attach data to objects. You'd need to put a "marker" in the document, then refer to that. Depending on which version of Word there are various things you can use. Traditionally, a bookmark has been used for this purpose as it's available in all versions of Word...

Are you using a VSTO document-customization?
