Yanıt Test Suite Explorer missing in Testing Center - Test

  • 29 Şubat 2012 Çarşamba 11:57

It seems that I'm missing the Test Suite Explorer on the right side of the screen, when opening Testing Center - Test tab. Please see screenshot attached.

I have disabled all filters, tried reinstalling MS Visual Studio / MTM, rebooting etc. I have tried having a colleague logging in to MTM on my PC, he gets same problem - Trying to log in with my credentials on his machine does not leave me with a missing Test Suite Explorer. This suggests that the problem is with the configuration / setup of my PC, and not userrights etc.

I'm running Win 7 and MS Visual studio 2010 version 10.0.40219.346

    Thanks in advance! :)

Do you have any testcases in "Test Pass 1". Do you see them in the Plan tab.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

The instance of MS VS I'm running is: VS 2010 Ultimate.

I have tried both a complete reinstallation of the sotware and a repair as suggested, but unformtunately it did not fix the problem.

For what it's worth: I do have the exact same problem, hope there will be a fix or explanation soon!

I found the solution myself - The problem was caused by the MTM configfiles being changed as a result of plugging my laptop into another dockingstation. I suspect that this causes the configuration in the file mtm.config to go haywire as a result of the screen on dockingstation 2 only supporting a low resolution.

How to fix? I copied the config files from a colleague. The config files are in this folder:

    C:\Users\[User Profile Name]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\TeamTest\v10.0

I just copied them all and that worked - Remember to back up your old config files just in case :)

    /N
