Getting an Invalid Structure Path error when saving a test plan.

Question

I am creating a new test plan in MTM. From the drop down for the iteration path, I have selected the iteration path 'Advantage\Edition 1\Volume 0.5\Sprint 10 '. When I go to save the test plan with this iteration I get an error indicating that the test plan can not be saved, 'The structure path Advantage\Edition 1\Volume 0.5\Sprint 10 is not valid'. I am able to save test cases, bugs, tasks etc with this iteration path. The problem only occurs when saving a test plan. Does anyone have any ideas as to why I am getting this error when selecting a valid iteration path?

I'm able to save other iteration paths. I know we are not using lab manager on this project. Looking in the event log I see the following:

(mtm.exe, PID 12432, Thread 12) Error in IsLabConfigured. Error=TF259194: System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008 R2 Admin Console is not installed on following machine : TFSAPPS. Please make sure it is installed properly before performing any Lab Management operation..

the message resource is present but the message is not found in the string/message table

There is cache of CSS data and looks like the cache and the actual data is out of sync.

Let me have someone investigate on how to force sync - probably that will solve the problem.

Hi,

I am getting the same error on a certain iteration. any news how to solve this? i tried deleting the cache and didnt work for me. I don't know how to get the event data to verify if it is exactly the same thing.
