Ok - saw a similar issue where the answer marked as "the answer" was to remove a bad feature. I am not aware of any "bad features" in my web application - is it possible there is another place to look?

    The error just states:

    Scrip Error

An error has occurred in the script on this page.

    Line: 1

    Char: 193

    Error: Expected ')'

    Code: 0

URL:  lists the url of the site / _layouts?AssetPortalBrowser.aspx?&AssetUrl=/lists url of site.

    any ideas?

    Hi ,

As you can see from the error message ,the script on the page contains an error .Have you or your workmates add any script on the page?

You can open the site in SharePoint Designer and open the Asset to check whether it contains any scripts which is not correctly typed .

    Thanks

    Hi Entan,

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately no, no scripts added. We primarily try to stick to OOTB SharePoint wherever possible. It is calling the OOTB http://website_url/_layouts/AssetPortalBrowser.aspx?&AssetUrl=/documents&RootFolder=/sitecontainer/ is the URL - it appears to be calling the assetportalbrowser.aspx page to display the site assets. I can select an asset (document) but it blows this error if I try to scroll. I tried a different master page and CSS - still same behavior. The interesting part, it works fine on other sites in the farm, so it has to be something site specific. :(

Oh - oddly, ruled out the master page and css as I selected the same as the main site  uses (which works) and it still blew the error for this site. :[ so frustrating.

Oddly enough, a PDF was causing this to blow up! Remove the PDF and the doc library was fine. Go figure?
