I want to install .NET Framework 3.5 on my computer, but I experienced a setup error after I have installed it.
How do I successfully install .NET Framework 3.5 without seeing a setup error at the end of the installation?
Thank you for any help.

Please provide the following:
1. What is your Windows version and service pack level?
2. Please provide complete install logs as follows:
Please collect your install logs with this:
After you run Collect.exe, you'll find vslogs.cab in your %temp% directory. Please upload vslogs.cab to a public site, like SkyDrive, and post the link here.

Hi pvdg42,
1. My Windows version is Windows 7 and I do not have any service packs installed at the moment.
2. For some reason, I could not submit my reply with the link to the vslogs.cab file on SkyDrive without getting an unexpected error message.
I do not know why this is so.
Could you please offer another solution that enables me to post a link to the vslogs.cab file on SkyDrive?
Maybe I could send you the link in a private message instead?
Thank you very much for your help.
Best regards,
Devmos

Hi pvdg42,
I'm trying to post the link to the vslogs.cab file on SkyDrive in a separate reply post, to avoid the unexpected error message.
Here it is:

No need for the logs. Your Windows version tells the story.
Windows 7 installs .NET Framework 2.0/3.0/3.5 through 3.5 SP1 as an integral part of the OS. Therefore, you cannot install 3.5 yourself on a Windows 7 system.
You will find .NET Framework 3.5.1 (i.e. 2.0/3.0/3.5) listed as a Windows Feature. Open Control Panel->Programs and Features, then click on Turn Windows features on and off.
Find Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 in the features list. Expand the node and enable all subfeatures.
