Visual Web Developer 2008 Installation Fails

I'm been busy scouring the forums for a week now and have tried everything. I originally tried getting the 2010 Express versions installed with no luck. So I went back and got Visual Basic 2008 installed successfully but cannot get VWD 2008 installed for the life of me. I then tried to download the beta version of Visual Studio 11 which worked just fine.
The computer I'm using is Windows 7 32 bit edition and I'm running as administrator. My Control Panel shows Microsoft.Net Framework 4 installed along with 3 beta 4.5 Framework files. My log files are located at:
I'm sure there is more data needed to properly answer this question but thanks in advance for any help!

Hi Mikeler,
Welcome to the MSDN forum.
From your logs, your errors seems to be like this:
"The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2753."
It indicates that your installation package is corrupt by some unknown reasons. You may have to re-download the package or restart web-installer to install.

Barry,
Thank you so much for your response. I've tried to download the installation files from a few locations and also have burned the Iso file to a CD to try and install from there with no luck. Perhaps I'm missing the best location to download it from?
I'm not exactly sure how to restart the web installer. Is this something that needs to be done under Services? If so, what is the name of the particular service? Thanks again for your assistance.

Hi Mikeler,
Sorry for a little late to track.
The location of Visual Web Developer 2008 can be found from here:
http://www.microsoft.com/visualstudio/en-us/products/2008-editions/express
Please make sure you have download the files from this website.
I did't find the web installer and seems that it is out of life cycle. So I'm sorry for my last post.
If you have any updates, please feel free to let me know.
Best regards,
Barry Wang [MSFT]

Barry,
Again thanks for your help. I had already downloaded the .iso file from that link and burned it to CD.
I'm not sure if these were the only steps that fixed the issue, but everything up until I did this would not allow an install of Visual Web Developer 2008. Here is what I did to FINALLY get it to install successfully. The order is important because if you try step 3 before step 2, the install will fail. This is assuming you have downloaded the .iso file and burned it to a CD which is your D: drive:
1) Navigate to D:\VWDExpress\WCU\WebDesignerCore
2) Run WebDesignerCore.Exe first. This gives no indication when it is finished installing so give it a few minutes. The CD light will turn off when it is done.
3) Run WebDesignerCore.Exe_KB945140 next. This too gives no indication when it is finished installing so give it a few minutes. The CD light will turn off when it is done.
4) Navigate to D:\VWDExpress
5) Run Setup.exe from this folder and it will install.
