SDL regex Fuzzer

Question

Is there any possibility that the SDL Regex Fuzzer can be updated to support reading in a file of regex patterns and scanning them all?  Supporting just one item at a time is very combersome when working on a large project.

There has been other feedback around how to enable this tool to be run across multiple regular expressions. The most likely approach would be to allow for automation by providing a command-line interface and a documented output format. This enhancement has been logged and will be considered in a future feature release of the tool.

Are there any licensing issues if a solution were to use the Regex Fuzzer Engine DLL to automate this? Obviously, not a commercial type of a solution.

We will caution against reusing components or (re)implementing in some fashion where future updates might require significant rework. We will keep this thread posted on when this enhancement gets scheduled.
