DSC Scalability

Question

Hi,

 

How well does DSC scale with a cluster of 500 nodes, a million file-sets with 200-10,000 files per file set?

 

Any pointer would be useful.

Arushi,

I think we're already answered you offline. For anyone else who is interested DSC isn't recommended for the sort of file set sizes you're talking about here. However we may still support the scenario you're working on if you can merge the files within a fileset. This may also get you better query performance as it will reduce DSC's overhead in managing and opening lots of presumably quite small files.
