I used HTML Help Workshop to create help for my VB6-level application, and, since the Workshop had no explict "include" function for images, I copied forward my .jpg files together the .chm file to each new, development-advance folder. They finally reached the app.NET\bin folder after I converted to Visual Studio 2008.
At this stage, I needed to alter one of my images (I did so in the \bin folder.), but a test of my help resulted in a display of my original, VB6 image.
Are .htm-referenced image files actually included in the .chm file? Do I need only re-compile to keep my help current?

Yes Price. A bit strange when you first realize this but any standard link to an image file and that image file will be included.
To bypass this "feature" you would need to use script or CSS etc to obscure the link to the image file or script file or CSS file.
Help systems after this discontinued this discovery approach.
