I have a FTS index on a varbinary(max) field which appears to have been built properly (v10.05.2500).
Am now trying to modify the Thesaurus
I have un-commented the file C:\data\MSSQL10_50.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\FTData\tseng.xml which leaves me with the default rules, one if which is ..<expansion>
from the documentation I expect the results of the query below to show "jog" in the result list
select * from sys.dm_fts_parser('FORMSOF( FREETEXT, run )', 1033, 0, 0)
but I get this..
I ran the load_thesaurus_file script with 1033, re-started the server, re-booted, looked for tseng.xml file in other locations to no avail.
could 64bit OS effect on paths be effecting this? (windows server 2008r2)?
Is there a table entry that shows the path to the thesaurus file?
I am guessing the state of the index is irrelevant to the dms_fts_parser() procedure...
I am guessing the unicode-ness of the documents indexed is irrelevant
I have moved database files from default location...
Any ideas where else I might look?
