How do I UPDATE a SQL Server Table using user variables within SSIS?

    Question

  • So I need to UPDATE my SQL Server Table based on files that I found via FTP...acknowledgement files. So I need to UPDATE accordingly...

    UPDATE	[dbo].[Verisk_Filenames]
    SET	[Verisk_Filenames].[999]	= 1
    WHERE	[Verisk_Filenames].[FileNm]	= ?

The WHERE Column [Verisk_Filenames].[FileNm] will come from my SSIS User Variables, [User::RemoteFileName]

From what I've Googled and Read, you cannot do this through a "Execute SQL Task"; instead it seems to only be accomplished through a "OLE DB Command"...Is this correct?

I tried finding a YouTube doing this and was unsuccessful. Can anyone help me out here in getting this accomplished?

Thanks for your review and am hopeful for a reply.
