CONNECTION IDLE TIMEOUT SET IN SQL SERVER 2005

    Question

  • HI,

How i can set idle timeout in SQL server 2005? In case of Oracle we can set this using profile.

But we don't know how to set in SQL server 2005/

Response from experts would highly help us to proceed our testing.

    Thanks in Advance

  • There is not an idle timeout in SQL Server, except for linked servers.  SQL Server only closes connections if the connection is lost.  It would be up to the client to close the connection.
