I am moving data of a table from source to destination.
Destination table contians all the columns as Source but it has one more column which is not in source and it is NotNull Column.
I am using OLEDB SOURCE To OLEDB DESTINATION To transfer.
please tell me how to do this.
You question is not clear..
If you want to create a target same as source with an extracolumn with notnull means.. add a coulmn to metadata of target with NotNull constraint ..
if you are getting an extra coulumn while moving data means please let us how your package is designed..

Hi Bhaskar,There are many ways to handle this, but depends on your business requirement .You have a column that is Not Null means it is must to insert data in that column while inserting in data in other columns. So the first option is to remove Not Null constraint from that column .
Suppose you don't want to remove constraint then you can go for Derived column in SSIS package , but we will have to make sure what a default value you want to store in that column .What you have to do , drag Derived column task in Data Flow tab and connect it to your source and destination . See in screen shot.
Now , double click on Derived Column task and create a dummy column .
One think keep in mind the data type while creating a column .Now you can use this new created column in you destination. Hope this will help you .
