We are receiving this error for a particular login on one server. SQL 2008 Enterprise
The default db is set to master, but it doesn't have rights to master.
I ran a trace and see that it's trying to access the Master db.
We have this login on other server with the same setup, but they aren't having issues.
We found it was a bad connection string which was including the 'Master' as the database.
Since it didn't have rights to Master, it wouldn't log in.
Please make sure that the SQL Server service is running, the login is existed on the SQL Server instance. If the SQL Server service is enabled and the login is the SQL Server service account with sysadmin fixed role, you may try to apply the
