Error "[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Invalid cursor state"

    Question

  • Hi,

I am new to SSIS. I successfully migrated my DTS package into SSIS. In this i have four "Execute SQL Task"s. Three are excuting fine. But one is giving the following error:

"[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Invalid cursor state".

    In the task i used

    ResultSet: None

    ConnectionType: ODBC

    SQLSourceType: Direct Input

    SQLStatement: EXEC HX_SetStatus  'HDC0001971', 'U'

And no Parameter Mapping and no Result Set.

Can anybody help me regarding this.

    Thanks

    Hi Duane Douglas,

Here we are using DSN. So Im using ODBC to connect to DB.

    Many Thanks,

in this case, you also have the option of using an ado.net connection manager with the odbc .net data provider.

  • is there a particular reason why you're using an obdc connection manager instead of an ole db connection manager?  if not, then try using an ole db connection manager instead.
