I'm not sure which forum to post this in. I apologize in advance if I'm in the wrong place. Here is my error message:
A time-out occurred while waiting for buffer latch -- type 3, bp 035352FC, page 1:134772, stat 0xc0010b, database id: 20, allocation unit Id: 72057598432116736, task 0x00BD43E8 : 0, waittime 300, flags 0x4003a, owning task 0x0089B108. Not continuing to wait.
Error: 845, Severity: 17, State: 1.
I'm running SQL Server 2005 (9.00.3042.00) on Windows Server 2003
I don't think the buffer latch issue had anything to do with the backup failure. As far as I can tell, it was just coincidence. I still don't know the root cause of the latch update issue, but a reboot resolved it. The backup plan also ran successfully last
False alarm... sorry!
