Multiple-step OLE DB operation generated errors...

    Question

  • Hi,

    Running a simple Execute SQL Task (SELECT 1 FROM SYS.DUAL) against the OLEDB Provider for Oracle generates the following warning message:

    Warning: 0x0 at Execute SQL Task: Multiple-step OLE DB operation generated errors. Check each OLE DB status value, if available. No work was done.

    But work was done and the result is OK. Any idea how to get rid of this message?

    This happens only in SSIS 2008 - in SSIS 2005 no warning message appears.

    BR Chris

  • Hi Hong

    The Key is already there.

    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{3F63C36E-51A3-11D2-BB7D-00C04FA30080}]
    @="OraOLEDB.Oracle"
    "OLEDB_SERVICES"=dword:ffffffff

    and the problem still persists.

  • Please try another way:
    In the Execute SQL Task Editor, there is 3 ConnectionType you can use: OLE DB, ADO, ADO.NET. Try to use another 2 to see whether the issue resolved.

  • With ADO and ADO.NET no warning message appears!

    But I need the same connection later on as an OLE DB Source. But it is not nice having many different connections pointing to the same source…

  • I have exactly the same problem where work is done but warning appears on SQL 2008. Were you able to resolve the problem?
